Here are 5 good reasons to go to Africa and conquer the Kilimandjaro:

1 – Kilimandjaro with family

Kilimandjaro is a little difficult summit. It doesn’t require any technical skill. You only need your feet. Indeed, before the last camp, the climb is more like a trekking. In addition, the effects of altitude are lower and mountain sickness is rare. That’s why you can easily do this expedition with your family. What a great trip to your children in the land of the Lion King! Yes, you will often hear “rafiki”, which means “friend” and you will have the opportunity to say “hakuna matata” when your guide will ask you how you feel: “no problem!”.

2 – Heterogeneous landscapes

Troughout the ascent of Kilimandjaro, you will see beautiful landscapes, all very different from each other. The Mashame road, for example, begins with a lush forest populated with monkeys. You can also admire lunar landscapes in the mountain, with rocks and cactus trees. The summit, snowy, will give you the impression of having left Africa. 3 – An typical and exotic culture

Beyond a sports trip, you will be immersed in a country whose culture is very strong and very different from Western countries. In Tanzania, near the Kilimandjaro area, two parks stand out in particular. The first, the Serengeti Park, famous for its large herds of elephants and the proximity we can have with animals. Be careful however too close, we saw children being stolen their lunch by monkeys!

Second, there is also the mythical crater of N’Gorongoro, which plunges us into an amazing nature with its rhinoceros and hippos.
